In a time when every non-old firm fan of Ayrshire persuasion, thought that it would only be old firm players and Scottish players down south, that were guaranteed a call up to the national squad - well guess what has happened?
Kilmarnock's first choice goalkeeper Cameron Bell has been called on, to join Craig Levein's national squad as a replacement for the injured Matt Gilk from Blackpool. It's hs first call-up to the nartional squad and all here at Kilmarnock-Mad knows how good a keeper he can be.
Cameron was for a lengthy period of time 2nd choice goalkeeper and stand-in for 1st choice keeper Alan Combe. When he worked under then manager Jimmy Calderwood and also now new gaffer Mixu Paateleinaan, Cameron has impressed so much so that now he has become the first choice keeper. When Alan Combe recovers he will not have a fight on his hands to win back the number one jersey.
Well done Cameron Bell!
