In a game which could of saw Ayrshire's Finest do the double over the Edinburgh side, sadly it turned out be not so and so the Killie men came away from the game with nothing.
It began the perfect way for the boys in blue and white with only a few minutes into the first half and David Silva put a brilliant shot into the back of the net past the Hibernian keeper. Kilmarnock enjoyed a good chunk of possession throughout this half, with attempts at goal from Eremenko and Connor Sammon both of which went over the bar.
It wasn't long before Hibernian went on the attack which then led up to the old defence problem, it was as it has been on many occasion leaky and thus was proved yet again when our defence left too many spaces, then up came Hibernian skipper Chris Hogg and sent a neat shot into the roof the net.
Hogg's second goal came just bang on half time and the half ended: Hibernian 2-1 Kilmarnock.
Shots came and went in the second half but a leaky defence from Killie could of made the score worse, thankfully the shots that came from Hibs were misfiring so that was a let off in itself for the visitors. Killie tried in vain to find an equaliser but it was not to be.
Full time score: Hibernian 2-1 Kilmarnock.
Next up: The Highland side Inverness Calley Thistle come to visit the Threatre and because we have not won an SPL game for the last 4 games - this game is simply a must win. Mixu needs to sort out the defence for sure for this game.
