Well who would have thought it? Two wins on the bounce for Ayrshire's Finest and in addition, beating last seasons away goal tally on top of that! This is more proof of the new methods of football and training being done by Mixu Paatelainen and the new look backroom staff finally kicking in.
First half saw an outstanding performance by the men in blue and gold, lovely passing as well and just about dominating completely in possession. The home side's attempts on goal were feeble to say the least, however a few of their closest to goal were saved by Killie shotstopper Cammy Bell.
10 minutes to half-time a Ben Gordon cross taken on by Saints defender Michael Duberry opened the scoring for the visitors. St Johnstone 0-1 Kilmarnock. The visitors truly deserved the lead.
After the restart it was much more of the same with Kilmarnock dominating in possession and having the most shots on goal, while the home side struggled to make a decent effort. St Johnstone's Taylor had his effot hit the bar while others attempts to score were misfired wide of the net.
The visitors knew that 1-0 simply wasn't enough and so continued to try and score another, which just happened in the 83rd minute. Connor Sammon scored after some next footwork to bypass two St Johnstone defenders and shot the ball between the Saints keepers legs.
Killie put the game to bed by scoring a final goal thanks to Liam Kelly. When the final whistle blew boos could be heard from the home stands, in response to their teams failure even to score a single goal. The St Johnstone players can't have any complaints though as the best team won on the day.
