For some it would seem like Ayrshire's Finest have had a quiet pre-season due to the lack of results and match reports. I regret to report that match reports from the friendlies have not been made available on the Kilmarnock FC Official Site.
It is my understanding that the boys in blue and white have not had a good pre-season. Killie have won only a single match and drawing another BUT losing the remaining games.
The Ayrshire side had a 1-1 draw with Huddersfield however, the biggest loss was against Greenock Morton. The Ton who also beat Ayrshire's Finest in a previous Scottish cup game a few seasons ago. Killie conceded 4 goals and scored only one.
Aside from the games, two players from Kilmarnock have succumbed in injury. Garry Hay with a knee injury and requires an operation, this will mean that he will be out for at least 2 months! Recent signing Hasselheff has also picked up an injury, during a closed doors game. He's broken his collarbone and will be out for 2 months.
This is not good for the Ayrshire Side, who won the Scottish Communities League Cup last season but let's not give up hope.
